As a third generation cowboy, I know what it means to be from South Eastern Colorado. Times were tough back then and are about the same now, which is why I as your Representative am determined to protecting every American’s right to life, liberty and property.
After being married to my beautiful wife Jan for over 40 years, and as a father of four and a foster parent to numerous children, I hold on to that Jeffersonian belief in the local family farmer and rancher and am committed to developing responsible policies that protect the interests of Colorado’s residents.
After teaching high school math and science for many years, I believe in improving the quality of education while maintaining local authority and increasing teacher’s ability to teach. As a parent and a husband I understand the importance of accessible and affordable health care coverage for all residents.
After chairing the committee and serving as the Grand Jury Foreman which indicted corporate employees of Rocky Flats for horrific crimes against the environment, it became even more obvious to me that power can and should rest within the hands of the people.
